[:en]On July, 6 we had the Press Conference to launch Outsport, the first European project on homofobia and transfobia in sport that includes a scientific research on the topic.
MP. Bruno Molea, president of AICS, the organization promoting the project, and Mr. Rosario Coco, coordinator of the the project, presented the conference.
«Outsport first target is mesuring this phenomenon, conducting the first Europeanwide research on homophobia ad transphobia in sport, thanks to the German Sport University of Cologne – Mr. Coco explained to the press – then it will develop new tools to operate and communicate on this ground. One of our main goals is the train of trainers working in the sport area. One f our main outputs is the edition of a multilingual handbook targeted to trainers, and sport organizations».
At conference the video-clip against homofobia in sport, produced for the project was screened for the first time to the journalists and activist present. Mr. Adriano Bartolucci Proietti, chair of Gaycs, Lgbti dertment within AICS, Ms. Ilse Hartmann, from the German Sport University of Cologne and Ms. Nikola Staritz from the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation also spoke at the concference
At the end the singer Cecile, voice of the anthem “Outsport (Play Out & Proud)“, spoke about her support to the project as an athlete and women of coulor who has well experienced discrimination in her life.
[:it]Si è tenuta il 6 luglio presso la sala stampa della Camera dei Deputati a Roma la conferenza stampa di presentazione di Outsport, il primo progetto europeo che prevede una ricerca sull’omofobia e transfobia nello sport.
A presentare l’iniziativa l’onorevole Bruno Molea, presidente dell’Associazione Italiana Cultura e Sport (Aics) capofila progettuale e Rosario Coco, coordinatore di Outsport.
«Outsport si occuperà innanzitutto della misura del fenomeno realizzando la prima ricerca a livello europeo su omofobia e transfobia nello sport, a cura della German Sport University di Colonia – ha spiegato Coco – e svilupperà quindi strumenti di intervento e comunicazione mirati. Tra i principali obiettivi vi è la formazione di formatori e formatrici che operano nel mondo dello sport. Uno dei principali risultati sarà la realizzazione di un manuale operativo realizzato nelle differenti lingue del progetto, per allenatori, enti e federazioni sportive».
Nel corso della conferenza stampa è stato presentato lo spot di campagna che accompagna il lancio del progetto e sono intervenuti anche Adriano Bartolucci Proietti, coordinatore nazionale di Gaycs, il dipartimento Lgbti di Aics, la professoressa Ilse Hartmann, della German University di Colonia e Nikola Staritz, del Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation.
Presente anche la testimonial Cecile, interprete dell’inno “Outsport (Play Out & Proud)”, che ha spiegato le ragioni della sua entusiastica adesione all’iniziativa: «Sono una sportiva, ho giocato a basket negli USA fino all’anno scorso, e so bene cosa sia la discriminazione nello sport come nella vita. Le differenze sono una ricchezza, sempre».
